CCSD to host TEDxCherryCreekED

Cherry Creek Schools will host TEDxCherryCreekED, an independently organized TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) event 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 1, at the Institute of Science and Technology, located on the Overland HS/Prairie MS campus at 12400 E. Jewell Avenue in Aurora.

TEDxCherryCreekED is a program of inspirational talks themed around "Talk is Cheap, Make it Happen" and features a dynamic and diverse speaker lineup:

  • Nathan Farbish - 6th grade student at the Challenge School in the Cherry Creek School District
  • Ryan McClintock - science teacher at Castle View High School in Douglas County Schools
  • Haley Jacelon, senior at Smoky Hill High School in the Cherry Creek School District
  • Richard Charles, Director of STEM Education in the Cherry Creek School District
  • John Escalante, Sandra Shamis and Samrawit Gezaw,  4th grade students at Meadow Point Elementary in the Cherry Creek School District
  • Ben Startzer, Chief Information Officer in the Cherry Creek School District

A speaker for a TEDx event is one who brings something bigger to the table, something that will make our attendees sit up, think and feel the confidence to make a difference in their own world. It's important for everyone to realize that these speakers are ordinary people doing extraordinary things.

Admission to TEDxCherryCreekED is free but by invitation only. For more information contact
