Voters in the Cherry Creek School District elected incumbent Randy Perlis to serve another four-year term on the Board of Education.
“I think it’s a validation that the voters like the direction we're going, and I am glad to be able provide the stability needed to continue on our path to become the first large, diverse school district to be Accredited with Distinction, ” Perlis, who represents District D, said.
Longtime parent volunteer, Karen Fisher, ran unopposed to fill the seat in District E vacated by term-limited former board president Jennifer Churchfield.
“Now the real work begins,” Fisher said. “Following in the footsteps of Jennifer Churchfield, who set the bar so high as a strong and effective leader, I have big shoes to fill. In my role as a parent volunteer, I have been lucky to work with a lot of district leaders who have mentored me and shared their insight and experience.”
