Cottonwood Creek students “kiss the year goodbye” for a good cause

What better way to “kiss the year goodbye” than with a bag of Hershey’s chocolate kisses?

How about 400-plus bags of the sweet treats?

First they took orders for “kiss the year goodbye” bags. Then they divvied up 30 pounds of kisses, filled more than 400 bags with ten kisses each, and tied them up with ribbons and special messages. The goodbye bags were delivered to students and staff on May 19.

That was just one of the projects Cottonwood Creek’s fifth-grade class completed this year as part of a grade-wide commitment to helping others. The fifth grade also donated a tree to Cottonwood Creek to replace one lost in a snowstorm last year.
