Suggestions Needed for New Career and Tech Ed Facility

Preliminary plans for the Cherry Creek School District's new CIA building. The Cherry Creek School District is looking for your input! Thanks to the CCSD voters' generous approval of the bond and budget measures in 2016, the district's new Career and Innovation Academy is slated to open in the fall of 2019. According to Sarah Grobbel, Executive Director of Career and Innovation for Cherry Creek Schools, the facility will "inspire our students to think about career and college opportunities, provide career exploration and offer opportunities for students to earn industry certifications prior to high school graduation."

The mission of this innovative facility is clear, but the district is still finalizing the perfect name for this one-of-a-kind educational facility. That's where our community comes in. We want to hear your suggestions for the official title of the new Career and Innovation Academy. Follow these links to submit ideas for names on social media: or

Submissions will be accepted until Jan. 9, 2017.

The future of innovation is bright in the Cherry Creek School District, and our community members play an important role in that future. We can't wait to hear from you!
