Join the SHARE Basket Project 2013
Would you like to help more than 200 needy families have a Happy Thanksgiving? Then make a donation or sign up to pack baskets for the SHARE Basket Project 2013.

Since the SHARE Project began in 1988 at Smoky Hill High School, it has provided food to 5,591 needy families for Thanksgiving and beyond. The SHARE Project moved last year to the SARC Building, 14188 E. Briarwood Ave., Centennial.  This year, it will provide 228 families with food and non-food items and a $15 King Soopers gift certificate.

The food will be distributed through SafeHouse battered women's shelter, Developmental Pathways, the Denver Indian Family Resource Center, the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless, the outpatient cancer clinic at University Hospital, the National Kidney Foundation, local houses of worship and families with children at Endeavor Academy.

Volunteers will assemble this year's baskets beginning at 1:00 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, and again at 9 a.m. Monday, Nov. 25, in the SARC building. Distribution will begin at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26. We welcome all volunteers to this most rewarding way to kick off the Sharing Season.

Checks should be made payable to SHARE Project and mailed to Barbara Fruitman at 19217 E. Jamison Pl., Centennial, CO 80016. Contact Barbara at 303-699-1911 for more information.
