Medicaid School Health Services
The Medicaid School Health Services Program allows school districts to seek partial reimbursement from the state for the health services they provide in the school setting to students who have an IEP and are on Medicaid.  These additional funds allow our district to enhance, expand and improve the health and wellness of our CCSD students.
The Medicaid LSP (Local Service Plan) Committee consists of interested parents, community partners and district staff.  If you are interested in becoming part of the Medicaid LSP Committee please contact the Medicaid Program Specialist at (720)554-5050.
This Committee meets every five years to determine how Medicaid funds are spent. Past monies have allowed us to purchase vision screeners to screen our CCSD students at school, hearing testing equipment, vision and dental exams for uninsured and underinsured students, resource nurses to support our school nursing staff, a preschool nurse, and adaptive equipment for students with disabilities, and support suicide and bullying prevention programs.
Parents can be reassured that the school's Medicaid reimbursement does not affect the family's personal Medicaid benefits in any way.
