CCSD Fit

We have an exciting new pilot program created by a group of  CTE high school students across the district in the summer internship program. Through a collaboration between the CCSD Health and Wellness Office and Under Armour, we have created a program called CCSD Fit just for the Cherry Creek School District community, 13 years or older. CCSD Fit links to UA Record, a comprehensive health tracking application, and creates a Cherry Creek community of users.  This allow us to deliver challenges throughout the school year utilizing this platform.

A group of 12 students from fields of computer coding, graphic design, and marketing collaborated the past 3 months to create the first challenge of the year – the CCSD Fit Step-a-Thon challenge at www.challenge.ccsdfit.orglogo.png

The goal is to log 70,000 steps in 7 days, September 4 – 10, 2016 though the UA Record app in our private CCSD challenge. Participants need to sign up for the challenge by August 31. The challenge concludes on Saturday, September 10 at the end of the Fitness Festival, where winners’ names will be drawn from the pool of all who met the challenge goal. Prizes include UA Health Boxes, UA shoes and other giveaways, and will be distributed to winners at the Under Armour booth at the Fitness Festival.  Winners who aren’t present will have their prize sent to them at school.

Please see the attached flyer and distribute to your classes as possible. With such a tight timeline, we have not printed these flyers, but we can print some for you upon request.

As a pilot, we are troubleshooting and asking for feedback. Please sign up yourselves and participate and forward this to other teachers who would be willing to promote! Feel free to contact me with questions or comments.

Thanks and have a great school year!
